Time to observe my environment, the water, its color, its movement, to wonder, to reflect, to disconnect, to reconnect, time to play.

At the heart of ‘time and seeing’ is the sea – the water of the fjord, which I observed every morning from my window. The rich variety of colors and movements of the water are reflected in my textile works.

The entire creative process is characterized by a slow, mindful approach: the careful observation of my surroundings, taking pictures with my analog camera, dyeing the yarns with seaweed I collected from the fjord, the traditional processing of Norwegian sheep's wool into yarn, and knitting Intarsia patterns. The result is a series of abstract windows, like intimate paintings, that evoke my time in Norway.
